My little man!

Well my little man is growing up!! He is two and a half now and such a handful. We have had his big Tennessee picture made. I have a 16 x 20 of each of the girls in their cheerleading uniform. It all started with Erin, I had her pictures made at a special event at Hamilton Place and it came with the TN picture. So with each child at 2 1/2 I have had theirs made. It nice to finally have the set complete. Luke was in such a bad mood the day that the pictures were made, so I am so glad we were able to get a good one. It is so bittersweet to see him grow up. I love the fact that he is getting more independent because it is making life a little easier, but it is so sad not having a baby around. Did I mention he is in his terrible two's? And independent is good is SOME ways. Luke thinks he has to do everything for himself and there are just some things he is not ready for. He would drive the car if I would let him! I love my kids to death and I just don't know what I will do when they are grown.

Fun Weekend!!

Wow this weekend went by really fast but it was a fun one. My mom and I decided to take the kids and go to Roane County, where I grew up. We got to feed the cows and go by the graveyard and put some fresh flowers on my stepdads gave. Luke got to see PaPa's new dump truck, what a treat!! He loved it! Mom and I also got to see my grandma, she was not feeling well so my sister watched the kids while we went and took her for a drive. We drove by places I have not seen in so long. It is amazing how things change.

Back to School!!

Luke in the nursery at church.

Anna and Kaylee

Ashley with Mrs. Justus

Ashley is such a Diva!!

There she goes....

Well it is official now, the girls are back in school. Ashley has a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Justus. I dearly love her and I hope to learn a lot from her myself this year. We went last night for parent night and I can tell that she puts a lot of effort into her class. I hope Ashley will have a wonderful year. Erin is too off to a good start. She will be taking Spanish this year which will be a big task, but it will be very beneficial, an extra credit towards high school. I am truly blessed to have such wonderful kids.

School for George and me will begin in less than two weeks and I am so ready to tackle it and get it over with. Anna has been enjoying some fun time with her friend Kaylee Potter. Kaylee will begin Kindergarten this year but is phasing in right now so Anna has been able to play with her a couple of days. Luke is such a big boy now. No more passy, no more bottle, no more diapers (except at night), and if you can believe this no more crib. It was so heartwrenching taking that crib down. It has been up for the last eight years. There are seasons of life and as hard as it is it is time to move on.....

Update on Mom!! Mom met with her surgeon last Thursday and heard some good news!! He did an ultrasound and did not see the tumor at all!! What a blessing!! She will have a lumpectomy on September 4th. This will remove any scar tissue left in her breast. He said he will biopsy all of it and then let her know a future prognosis. Keep her in your prayers!!

Awana at church will begin in two weeks. Please start praying for all of the teachers and children. I love this club and am very excited for a new year.

"The most wonderful time of the year!"

Well tomorrow is registration day and we keep seeing the staples commercial where the "The most wonderful time of the year" plays. Erin hates that commercial :). Well to be honest I am not at all crazy about school starting. If you know me you know that I am not a morning person and six o'clock comes way too early!! It is such a pain for Erin and Ashley not to go to school at the same time. It makes for a lot of running!! A good note about school starting is that summer school for George and me is OVER!!! Praise the Lord, somehow we made it through another semester. George will begin the nursing program at the end of the month and I will begin the fall with a full schedule. This is the first time I have ever attempted a full load. Pray for as we will need all of the prayers that we can get!!

Update on mom.... She is finished with Chemo!! Yeah.. she took her last treatment on July 2nd. She earned a crown!! She is feeling much better now. Still has some rough days but nothing like when she was taking her chemo. Her next step is surgery. We are awaiting the news to hear when her appointment with Dr. Rawlings is. She will meet with him and then have a lumpectomy. About seven weeks after her surgery she will begin radiation that will be every day for six and a half weeks. She will need lots of prayers!! She is just enjoying the moment right now.
